Spray

(Section 3.2.1.3.2)

Definition: Spray: An ensemble of water droplets torn by the wind from the surface of an extensive body of water, generally from the crests of waves, and carried upward a short distance into the air.

P.11.3.3

When the water surface is rough, the droplets may be accompanied by foam. With strong gales, spray may locally take the form of moving vortices.
