A thick, shaded layer of Cirrostratus formed from the spreading of Cumulonimbus tops extends considerably downwind at the top of the photo.
Toward the horizon can be seen an extensive Cumulonimbus capillatus praecipitatio incus cell with a long line of Stratocumulus in front. There is cumuliform growth of varying stages on this line; at the southern end, the turreted growth has developed sufficiently to be identified as Cumulus congestus.
Thunderstorms with rain passed over the airport in the preceding 2.5 hours.
