Introduction

(Section 3.3.1)

The observation of meteors other than clouds should include identification of the meteors, measurement, whenever possible, of their characteristic elements and, for certain meteors, identification of the clouds with which they are associated. The record should include the location, intensity, form, and times of appearance and disappearance and of any marked changes during the period of occurrence. As with observation of clouds, continuous observation is important.
