46° halo

The 46° halo (previously known as the large haloe) is a circular halo with a radius of 46° is sometimes observed. This halo is much less common than the 22° halo and is always less bright. The 46° halo is easily confused with the supralateral arc. See Table 22 for differentiation characteristics.
