Blowing Dust or Sand

(Section 3.2.2.2.1)

Definition: Blowing dust or sand: Dust or sand raised by the wind to moderate heights above the ground. The horizontal visibility at eye level is sensibly reduced (eye level is defined as 1.80 m above the ground).

The concentration of the particles of dust or sand may sometimes be sufficient to veil the sky and even the Sun.
